It’s that time of year again – time to rally the troops and raise our voices to change the way lung cancer is treated in our country. We want more research, more awareness, earlier detection and improved support for patients. Together, we will create the change we all desire.
The A Breath of Hope Lung Run/Walk Twin Cities raises awareness about lung cancer and funds the A Breath of Hope lung cancer research program. It is one of the largest lung cancer events in the U.S. It offers patient and family support through resource tables, oncology education and for those who have lost their loved one, through the Rose Raft of Remembrance Ceremony following the walk.
This event also features a certified chip-timed 5 or 10k run, 5k walk or survivor bus tour, live music, custom t-shirts that name our loved ones (and show our unity!!), custom-designed fans with a picture of your loved one for teams that raise $250 or more, snacks, kids’ activities, and gift card prizes for top fundraisers and race finishers. All participants (including walkers) will receive a t-shirt; 10k and 5k runners will receive a technical running tank shirt and medal.
Free custom printed t-shirts guaranteed for those who register before July 31st. To honor or remember your loved one and have their first and last name printed on the back of the t-shirt, register before July 31st. First and last names will also be printed on the side of the survivor bus.

Parking
Lake Harriet Parkway will be closed at 8:15 for the start of the run/walk. Parking is available as posted on side streets around Lake Harriet. Presenting Sponsor, Northfield Lines, will be graciously providing complimentary shuttle service around Lake Harriet. Shuttles run from 7-9 AM and after the race. Shuttle stops are located at
- W. 43rd Street and the intersection of Lake Harriet Parkway
- Sheridan Ave and the intersection of Lake Harriet Parkway
Parking in the lot west to the stage is reserved for handicap and sponsors. It is first come, first served and you must be in before the road closes at 8:15 AM.
